We inspect just about all devices that carry people, and a few that do not. ALPS provides inspections and tests for the following passenger and freight elevators and other similar conveyances:

-Hydraulic Elevators

-Dumbwaiters
-Escalators and Moving Walks
-Wheelchair/Platform Lifts (Vertical and Inclined Wheelchair Lifts)
-Limited Use Limited Access (LULA) Elevators
-Residential (Home) Elevators
-Stage Lifts

We automatically file copies of each inspection report with your local jurisdictional authority, where required.

In addition, we place your account on our Automatic Diary Service and contact you prior to the due date of your next inspection to assist you in meeting your inspection deadlines.

We fax your maintenance company a reminder one month before your tests are due. This is included as part of your inspection service.  If required, we can also perform a follow-up inspection to document that any violations have been corrected and to ensure proper compliance with required paperwork to the appropriate authorities.  We are always available to our customers to discuss any concerns regarding their elevator both prior to and after the inspection.

In addition, we provide the following services:

-Consultations regarding alterations, modifications, and repair
-Review of drawings and prints
-Evacuation/Extradition Training to fire departments and building personnel

As a third-party elevator inspector, we do not recommend or endorse any maintenance contractors. Our staff is available to provide any technical information to you that you or your maintenance contractor may need to help eliminate a specific violation.
